Ericsson said on March 3, 2011 that the company plans to set up a global LTE (Long Term Evolution) test center in Taiwan in 2011, according to the Commercial Times of Taiwan. It is reported that the test center will be located at the Far EasTone Telecom Park. The test center to be established in Taiwan is projected to be Ericsson's second LTE test center. Ericsson built its first LTE test center in Canada in October 2010. Ericsson also announced that in 2011, the company will focus on cloud computing, IPTV (Internet Protocol television), and LTE businesses in Taiwan.
